## What About Difficulty Breathing?
Breathing difficulty is **not one of the standard B.E. F.A.S.T. stroke warning signs**.
However, certain brain-stem strokes can affect automatic body functions, including breathing.
Sudden severe breathing difficulty is always a medical emergency regardless of its cause and should never be ignored.
## Remember B.E. F.A.S.T.
The American Stroke Association recommends remembering these six letters:
### B — Balance
Sudden loss of balance, coordination, or ability to walk normally.
### E — Eyes
Sudden blurred vision, double vision, or loss
